Over the next 8 years, I continuously iterated and optimized the platform, promoting it to Alibaba Group, Ant Group, and Ping An Bank, helping thousands of teams achieve efficient and high-quality automated testing. `
In 2024, we established JIterator to promote this technology, hoping it would bring more value to the public.
In 2015, to address the increasingly severe challenges of automated testing for Taobao's price calculation system, we developed a traffic testing tool suitable for Taobao's backend systems, inspired by Tcpcopy. With the help of this tool, the price calculation system has never experienced a failure
In 2016, we were tasked with supporting Alibaba's largest transaction system reconstruction project, the middleware transformation. To support core transactions, we improved the product and achieved fully automated Mock capabilities for downstream systems, ensuring the smooth implementation of the project. Later, recording and replay became the core safeguard for the transaction system.
As our reputation spread within the group, our product was adopted and used by more teams.By 2023, our system had been adopted by more than 7,000 systems for support and had facilitated hundreds of system reconstruction projects, including those of Ping An Bank externally.
Due to organizational strategy adjustments, the traffic testing tool discontinued external services. We then created JIterator to continue providing services to the public, improving upon the capabilities of the original tool in many aspects.
To achieve full automation in mocking, adaptations are required for middleware and system frameworks. JIterator comes with built-in support for most commonly used frameworks and middleware systems . If there's something JIterator doesn't support, we can provide the necessary adaptations.
